Later on, he completed his MD in medicine and DM in cardiology from Sanjay Gandhi Int. of Medical Sciences in 1993 and 1995, respectively. He passed his MNAMS in cardiology in 1996. In 1993, Dr. Rishi was awarded NN Gupta Gold Medalist. He was also awarded the Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). He had been the Vice-President of the Indian Medical Association, Faridabad. Dr. Rishi has performed more than 10000 interventional procedures. He was given Distinguished Service Award by Fortis Escorts, Faridabad. He has a special interest in complex angioplasty such as Left Main Stenting, Chronic Total Occlusion, and Post Bypass SVG Interventions. He is also interested in Congenital Heart defect closures, Valve Dilation, and peripheral vascular interventions.
