Qualification and Experience

With vast experience in transplant immunology and heart transplant, Dr. Ravi is currently the Associate Director Heart Failure /Transplant Program at Gleneagles Global Hospital. After obtaining his MBBS degree, Dr. Ravi did his MD in General Medicine in 1989 from Pondicherry University. In 1992, he completed his DM in cardiology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow. Dr. Ravi has also received the Fellowship from European Society of Cardiology in Heart Failure. Prior to the current responsibility, he has been associated with Z.H Sikder Hospital, Labaid Hospital, Dhaka, Lifeline Hospitals, and Fortis Hospital.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Ravi has experience of performing more than 250 heart transplant, one of the most number done by a cardiologist in India. Research articled of Dr. Ravi has been published in various journals with high impact factor. He is a prestigious member of Cardiological Society of India and Heart transplant council. He has a special interest in the implantation of cardiac devices and also keen on developing novel therapies in the field of cardiology. He has been under his credit to be the pioneer in initiating Radial Angioplasty programmer in Bangladesh and Nairobi.
