Qualification and Experience

Dr. Gopalakrishna Bhat is working as a consultant interventional cardiologist for more than 29 years now. He went onto complete his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from the Bombay University and is also a Member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay University, India. After this, he went onto complete his MD in General Medicine and DM in Cardiology from the Bombay University. In addition to all these, Dr. Bhat is also a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Bhat is highly expertise in non invasive and invasive cardiology, outpatient and inpatient care, management of the CCU (Critical Care Unit), non invasive cardiology: echocardiography including pediatric echo, treadmill testing, Holter study, ambulatory BP monitoring, dobutamine stress echo, invasive cardiology: adult cardiac catheterization, right heart catheterization, temporary pacing, coronary angiography, primary and elective coronary angioplasty, permanent pacemaker implantation with AICD implant and peripheral angioplasty including renal angioplasty. At present, he is serving as a consultant in interventional cardiology in the NMC Hospital, UAE. He also worked as the Chief Interventional Cardiologist at the Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam.
