Dr. K R Vasudevan

• Dr. K R Vasudevan is the Director, of the Department of Liver Transplant, at Max Superspeciality Hospital (Jaypee Hospitals).
• The educational qualifications of Dr. Vasudevan received an MBBS in 1998 from Goa Medical College, Goa, India, an MS in General Surgery in 2002 from Goa Medical College, Goa, India, and a DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology in the year 2008 from the National Board of Examinations (Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), New Delhi.
• Surgical gastroenterologist who received his training at one of India's premier hospitals and rose quickly through the ranks to become a team leader in just 12 years.
• Over the previous 2.5 years, PSRI has established and sustained a liver transplant program. Because of his experience with over 1200 live donor liver transplants, he was chosen for this position.
• He put together the clinical, para-clinical, and support teams that the service would need.
• He was the Senior Consultant at Jaypee Hospital's surgical gastroenterology and liver transplantation department from 2015 to 2016. Created a department from scratch with the help of a younger colleague, wherein 50 liver transplants were done in the first year.
• From 2012 until 2015, the doctor worked as a consultant in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, where he conducted liver transplants.
• He was indeed the academic coordinator and a mentor to DNB fellows in addition to directing a unit in the department.
