Dr. Sushan Mukhopadhyay

Qualification and Experience

Dr. Sushan Mukhopadhyay is an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with more than 28 years of experience. He is presently working as a consultant cardiac surgeon at Apollo Hospital, Kolkata. Dr. Sushan completed his MBBS in 1989 from North Bengal University. He then completed his post-graduation in General Surgery from Gujarat University in 1992. Later on, he underwent advanced studies in cardiac surgery and obtained M.Ch. in Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in 1995 from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology.

Contribution to medical science 

Prior to Apollo hospital, Dr. Sushan has the pride to be associated with reputed hospitals such as AMRI and B.M. Birla Heart Institute. He is an extreme member of the West Bengal Medical Council. He was awarded a Gold Medal in graduation and in 12007 and 2013, he was the awardee for Rotary-Best doctor. Dr. Sushan has also completed FIACTS in cardiothoracic surgery. Research articles of Dr. Sushan are published in various cardiology journals such as Indian Journal Cardiothoracic Surgery. His area of expertise includes Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Surgery, Coronary artery bypass graft, Bypass Surgery, and Aortic Valve Surgery.
