With more than 35 years of experience in Cardiac-surgery, Dr. Sitaram is one of the most renowned surgeons in southern India. Currently, he is working as a consultant cardiologist at Apollo hospital in Secunderabad. From Andhra Medical College, he completed his MBBS in 1970. He completed his MD in General Medicine and DM in Cardiology from Armed Forces Medical College in 1979 and 1988, respectively. For a very long time, he has been associated with Apollo hospital in Hyderabad.
Dr. Sitaram is an esteemed member of the Cardiology Society of India and the Indian Medical Association. In 2010, he was elected as secretary of the Cardiology Society of India (AP Chapter) – 2010. Several papers of Dr. Sitaram are published in indexed journals and he has also written a chapter in a book related to cardiology/. His area of expertise includes a Transesophageal Echocardiogram, PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Interventions), Balloon Mitral Valvotomy, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries, Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), Catheter Ablation and Patent Ductus Arteriosus. Dr. Sitaram believes in the treatment through most modern technology with minimum side effects.
