With impeccable experience in the field of robotic thoracic surgery and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Ali Zamir Khan is one of the experienced cardiothoracic surgeons with over 25 years of clinical experience. Presently the Head of Department of Minimally Invasive & Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Medanta in Gurugram, Dr. Khan has done MBBS, MS, FRCS (Glasgow), FRCS (CTH), FEBTS (Europe), PGDM (Clinical Research, UK), CCT (UK), and obtained a Masters in Business Administration. He is an expert and has a special interest in mediastinal surgery, sympathetic nerve surgery, cosmetic chest wall surgery, diaphragm surgery, esophageal surgery, lung volume reduction surgery, lung surgery, and endobronchial surgery.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Khan has contributed immensely in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. He had patented various surgical instruments used in the surgery. He is a board member of the Asian Thoracoscopic Education Program (ATEP) and more than 100 original research papers of him are published in various national and international journals of repute. He also started a center that provides training to various national and international students on laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
