In the procedure of UGI Endoscopy, a thin, flexible tube with a tiny camera is passed through the mouth to examine esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Detection of abdominal pain, reflux, swallowing problems, ulcers and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract becomes possible with its help. When the need arises, the doctors can take tissue samples for laboratory testing.
