Lumbar Puncture, also known as a spinal tap, is a minimally invasive procedure used to collect a sample of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the lower back. The sample can be analyzed to help diagnose or evaluate conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, or surrounding tissues, including infections, bleeding, inflammatory disorders, and certain neurological diseases.
