Orchidopexy is a surgical procedure used to move an undescended testicle into the scrotum and secure it in the appropriate position. It is commonly performed for cryptorchidism, a condition in which one or both testicles do not descend normally into the scrotum. The procedure may also be performed to stabilize a testicle after testicular torsion or in selected cases of abnormal testicular position.
