Sacral Neuromodulation is a minimally invasive treatment that uses mild electrical impulses to stimulate the sacral nerves involved in bladder and bowel control. It may be considered for selected patients with conditions such as overactive bladder, urinary urgency incontinence, non-obstructive urinary retention, or certain forms of fecal incontinence when conservative treatments have not provided adequate relief. The therapy is delivered through a small implanted device that sends controlled electrical signals to the targeted nerves.
