Distal Clavicle Excision (Resection) is used to treat selected cases of painful AC joint degeneration, arthritis, or related conditions when non-surgical treatments have not provided sufficient relief. Through small arthroscopic portals or an open incision, the surgeon removes a limited portion of the distal clavicle to eliminate abnormal contact within the joint.
