Dr. Vishal Chowksi has more than 20 years of clinical experience. He is currently the Chief, Head & Neck Surgery, Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad. Before this, he was associated with various institutions of repute including North Shore University Hospital, New York, Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, Mahavir Surgical Hospital and Cancer Care Center, and Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Vishal completed his MBBS in the year 1999 from Pramukhswami Medical College, Sardar Patel University. Later, in 2006, he passed the Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery. In the year 2006, he was awarded Fellowship from American Head and Neck Society.
With a Fellowship awarded in Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology by Memorial – Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, Dr. Vishal is a highly-skilled head and neck cancer surgeon. He has obtained additional training in Minimally Invasive Video-Assisted Thyroid Surgery from Italy and Transoral Laser Surgery of the Larynx also from Italy. His areas of interest include Cancer of the Larynx, Thyroid cancer, Malignant Tumors of the Skull Base, and Parathyroid Tumors. Dr. Vishal is an expert in performing head and neck surgery and in treating oral cancer, throat cancer, thyroid and parathyroid cancer, nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses cancer and voice box cancer.
