• Dr. Rishabh Kumar is an experienced Radiation Oncologist with over 8 years of experience providing sophisticated, patient-centered radiation therapy for cancer treatment. • Dr. Rishabh Kumar earned his MD in Radiation Oncology from the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bengaluru (Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) in 2017. During his residency, he gained experience in stereotactic radiotherapy, radiosurgery, and advanced image-guided radiation treatments. He was instrumental in establishing MRI-guided brachytherapy for cervical cancer and contributed to one of India's largest published datasets in this area.
• His scholarly work includes groundbreaking initiatives including the world's first Robotic Liver HDR Brachytherapy and key studies on the function of HPV and telomerase in cervical and head and neck malignancies. In recognition of his scientific brilliance, he received the coveted MC Pant Gold Medal from the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India in 2016.
• He was awarded a technology transfer grant by the European Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO) in 2017, allowing him to pursue additional training in CyberKnife-based SRS and SBRT, proton therapy, and hyperthermia at ERASMUS Medical Center.
• He finished his senior residency at top institutions including SGPGI Lucknow, ILBS Delhi, and AIIMS New Delhi. At ILBS, he established the stereotactic ablative radiotherapy program, which resulted in one of India's largest papers on liver SBRT in hepatocellular cancer. During his time at AIIMS New Delhi, he oversaw complicated oncological cases and took part in the low-dose radiation therapy clinical trial for COVID-19.
