Dr Praveen Gupta is a highly distinguished neurologist with over 23 years of experience in neurology and internal medicine.
A DM from AIIMS, New Delhi, and an MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, he has been a pioneer in introducing cutting-edge neurological interventions in India.
Among his many firsts, Dr Gupta performed the first brain pacemaker for epilepsy in Asia, initiated Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease, conducted Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplants for CIDP and MS, and implemented the Solitaire Shaunt Mechanical Thrombectomy for stroke in North India.
He also published India’s first double-blind migraine trial using Topiramate.
Over his illustrious career, Dr Gupta has established top-tier neurology departments at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Artemis Hospital, and Paras Hospital, mentoring teams, advancing research, and delivering expert care to thousands of patients.
