About Dr. Prof Ranjit Manchanda

  • Professor Ranjit Manchanda is a leading Gynaecological Oncologist practising at Barts and The Royal London Hospital, and Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Barts CRUK Cancer Centre, Queen Mary University of London.
  • He completed his PhD in Gynaecological Oncology at University College London (UCL). He undertook subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at UCLH and St Bartholomew’s Hospital (Barts Health), following an NIHR Clinical Academic Lectureship.
  • Professor Manchanda is an NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) Fellow and leads the high-risk women’s Precision Prevention service at Barts Health. He also chairs the London Cancer High-Risk Gynaecological Cancer MDT and is a member of the NCRI Ovarian Cancer Surgical Subgroup.
  • He has a strong interest in ultra-radical debulking surgery for ovarian cancer and minimal access surgery, and serves as co-Lead for the Cancer Prevention Theme at Barts CRUK Cancer Centre.
  • Professor Manchanda is actively involved in education, leading the Integrated Academic Training Programme for Obstetrics & Gynaecology in London, and the RCOG Advanced Professional Module in Clinical Research.
  • He is a member of the International Gynaecological Cancer Society (IGCS) Education Steering Committee and Deputy Director of the Barts Health RCOG sub-speciality training programme. He has previously served as President of the European Network of Young Gynaecological Oncologists (ENYGO) and was a Council Member of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO).
