Professor, Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thanh is a qualified obstetrician, gynecologist, and an expert in reproductive support with a great deal of experience in women’s and maternal health.
He integrates knowledge from up-to-date clinical evidence obtained during more than ten years engaged in teaching and practising obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive support.

A gynecologist is a specialist in women’s reproductive health. They care for the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, and breasts. They provide a variety of services which include check-ups, diagnosing and treating gynecological disease, providing infertility treatment, prenatal care, counselling during menopause, and preventive screenings.

When should I see a gynecologist?

Yes, a gynecologist (especially OB-GYNs) can assist with routine prenatal care, monitor fetal development, manage high-risk pregnancies, perform deliveries (including Cesarean sections), and manage postpartum complications.

Are gynecological visits painful or uncomfortable?

Most visits involve routine care and are at most minimally uncomfortable. Procedures such as Pap smears or ultrasounds are generally painless at the time of the exam, and surgical procedures will typically require anesthesia.
