• Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sümer Yamaner, was born in Trabzon on October 23, 1962. In 1986, Prof. received his degree from Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
• In 1992, Dr. Yaşar Sümer Yamaner finished his specialist training at the same university in the Department of General Surgery.
• In 1993, he finished his mandatory service at the Rize Fındıklı Regional Goiter Research and Treatment Center following his military service.
