Dr. Satvinder Mudan

• Dr Satvinder Mudan is an experienced General Surgeon who consults exclusively at The London Clinic in Harley Street.
• After more than 20 years as an NHS Consultant, he now devotes his time fully to private practice and research.
• He previously served as Consultant Surgeon at St George’s Hospital and The Royal Marsden Hospital, where he was also Medical Director for Private Care.
• As Chair of the Hepatobiliary Section of the London Cancer Alliance, he was responsible for developing the LCA guidelines on hepatobiliary and neuroendocrine tumours, and he contributed to the British Society of Gastroenterology guidelines on the management of GIST.
• He qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School, University of London, and completed surgical training in London and Portsmouth.
• For specialist training in laparoscopy and surgical oncology, he worked under Professor J-L DuLucq in Bordeaux, a pioneer of laparoscopy, and continued his training in Paris.
• He completed two prestigious fellowships in surgical oncology at leading international cancer centres: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the National Cancer Center Hospital in Tokyo. For these, he was awarded a King’s Fund Scholarship and a British Council Scholarship.
• He remains research-active, with particular interests in cancer immunology and pancreatic cancer, and supervises doctoral students in this field.
