Dr. Murat Kayabali

Qualification and Experience

Born in Ankara in 1959, Prof. Dr. Murat Kayabalı completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College. Prof. Dr. Murat Kayabalı's illustrious career in medicine began with his graduation from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1981. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the same institution's Department of General Surgery in 1985, achieving the title of General Surgeon.

From 1985 to 1987, Prof. Dr. Kayabalı served as a senior resident at the Peripheral Vascular Service within Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine's Department of General Surgery. His dedication and expertise were further recognized when he was appointed as an Associate Professor in 1989. During this pivotal year, he also pursued specialized training in vascular surgery at Charing Cross Hospital in London. The following year, he expanded his knowledge as a visiting faculty member at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, USA.

Prof. Dr. Murat Kayabalı's significant contributions and leadership in his field culminated in his appointment as a Professor in 1996. His career continues to exemplify a commitment to excellence in surgical education, research, and clinical practice, marking him as a respected authority in vascular surgery both nationally and internationally.

Since 1985, Prof. Dr. Murat Kayabalı has focused his work on vascular surgery. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Vascular Surgery Association from 2000 to 2005. He passed the board exam of the European Society for Vascular Surgery in 2010. Since 2003, Prof. Dr. Murat Kayabalı has been serving in the Department of Vascular Surgery at Florence Nightingale ?ağlayan Hospital.
