About Dr. Assoc. Prof. Cigdem Arslan

Dr. Arslan began her residency at Dokuz Eylul University's Department of General Surgery after graduating from Akdeniz University Medical Faculty in 2007.
she won the Turkish Surgical Association's Fellowship of Robotic & Endocrine Surgery Scholarship and paid a visit to the Cleveland Clinic, In 2012.
she graduated from her residency with a thesis on surgical site infections in pilonidal illness, In 2013.
She began working at İstanbul Medipol University in 2017. She has been teaching at Istanbul Medipol University's National and International Medical Faculties since being appointed Associate Professor of Surgery in 2019.
She was certified by ESCP as a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in Coloproctology and by TSCP in 2021 as a Fellow of the Turkish Board of Surgery in Coloproctology.
