To extend his learning in the field of gastrointestinal surgeries he did an M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology which is a very specialized course at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences at Lucknow.
After he was done with his legal studies he felt the need to get more training. He also gained the Fellowship of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeries(FIAGES). After this, there was a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Nikunj Gupta is well-versed in doing bariatric Surgeries including gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. He mostly manages conditions for illnesses such as pancreatic stones, acute pancreatitis, and gallbladder stones.
His interest also covers laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal surgical operations such as thoracoscopic-laparoscopic esophagectomy, para-oesophageal hernia surgery, and fundoplication.
