With over 40 years of experience in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay is a well-known gastroenterologist who has been providing safe and effective treatments to patients. At present, he is the Senior Director and the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Max SuperSpecialty Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, India. He was responsible for initiating gastroenterology services at several hospitals in New Delhi. Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay has worked at many reputed hospitals in India as a Consultant of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.  Owing to his academic excellence and tenacity, Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay completed his education at some of the most prestigious institutions in India and abroad. Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay completed his MBBS from Patna University. In addition to this, he is also a fellow of highly-regarded societies such as the Fellow of American College of Physicians(FACP), and Fellow of the Indian College of Physicians(FICP). Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay has also received International training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from reputed institutions in the UK such as the King’s College Hospital in London and the Royal Infirmary, Glasgow. He also holds a certification in Liver disease from the British Post Graduate Medical Federation.  Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay caters to the needs of patients suffering from liver diseases and gastroenterological ailments like constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, anal fissures, food poisoning, diarrhea, and GRED. He has also expertise in performing endoscopies for the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological disorders.

• Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay is active in research and has published over 100 academic chapters and papers in reputed International and National peer-reviewed journals.
• He is well-renowned for his original research work on H. Pylori, gut, and NSAIDs.  Some of his research work has been highly cited such as his studies on the interaction between H.Pylori and NSAIDs. He published one of the first research papers in the world focusing on the interaction between the two. 
• Due to his outstanding knowledge and expertise, he has been invited as a chief speaker to several conferences and seminars. Dr.  Rajesh Upadhyay has given over 200 presentations at several national,  regional, and state conferences. 
• Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay has also received International recognition for his work. He has been invited to several  International conferences as a Guest speaker such as the Europe Campylobacter Pylori Workshop in the UK. He has also been a part of the “ Campylobacter Pylori and Gastroduodenal Disease” symposium held at Delft, Holland as well as an International workshop on “Arthritis and Gut” at Marbella, Spain.
