Dr. Omer Yoldas

Qualification and Experience

• Dr. Omer Yoldas graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 after completing his medical studies in 1995.
• He finished his general surgery residency at the Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, between 2001 and 2006.
• Later He was employed as a General Surgeon Specialist at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital from 2006 to 2008 and Ordu State Hospital from 2008 to 2013.Dr. Omer Yoldas was awarded the Turkish Surgical Association Proficiency Exam (Board) certificate in 2015.
• A year later, He was appointed as an Associate Professor in the Department of General Surgery, at the Izmir University Faculty of Medicine.there he taught many undergraduate and graduate courses in between 2014 and 2016.His research has been widely cited in numerous national and international publications.
• At present, he is a member of the National Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Association (NELSA), the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Association, and the Hepatobiliary Surgery Association.

Dr.Omer Yoldas has made several significant contributions to the field of Gastrointestinal surgery. Some of the contributions he has made include:

• Laparoscopic splenectomy for a wandering spleen causing chronic pelvic pain.
• Laparoscopic resection for Meckel’s diverticulum causing intestinal obstruction.
• Does tamoxifen citrate prevent pulmonary fibrosis due to silica inhalation.
• A retrospective study on Comparison of modified limberg flap and modified elliptical rotation flap for pilonidal sinus surgery.
• Clinical Study Early Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy with Continuous Pressurized Irrigation and Dissection in Acute Cholecystitis.
