The physical procedure of TURP involves the removal of the obstructing part of the prostate tissue blocking the urine. This surgery is performed in case the patient does not respond to medical treatment of BPH-related symptoms or in a situation where complications have arisen. The physician conducts all necessary tests before surgery and provides postoperative information.
