Cervical Corpectomy is performed to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots caused by conditions such as cervical spinal stenosis, tumors, fractures, or severe degenerative changes. Through an anterior approach, the surgeon removes the affected vertebral body and adjacent structures contributing to compression. A cage or other reconstructive device is then placed to restore the spinal column, often with bone graft material to promote fusion. Additional stabilization may be required depending on the extent of bone removal.
