Advanced imaging technology plays an important role in identifying the AVM's dimensions, location, and blood flow pattern, as well as evaluating the risk of rupture or neurological complications. Therefore, integrating modern imaging technology into the treatment of AVMs will enable the development and execution of an accurate treatment plan using minimally invasive embolisation, radiosurgical, and microsurgical techniques. If an AVM is diagnosed early in its development, the risk of secondary complications should be reduced, leading to better long-term neurological outcomes and greater patient safety.
