A brain tumor is a cellular growth in the brain which multiplies in an abnormal and uncontrollable pattern. A brain tumor is graded according to their growth rate and their relapse after the treatment. Grade one and two are the low-grade tumors, while grade three and four are the high grades. Different treatment modalities can be used to treat brain tumor patients and surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy are among them. A brain tumor is of two types:
Non-cancerous brain tumor: These are the low-grade ones, that is they grow slowly, and they are fewer chances they will return after treatment.
Cancerous (malignant) brain tumor: These are the high-grade ones and they may start from the brain or may have spread into the brain from somewhere else, that is like a secondary tumor.
