Minoufiya University as a Senior Resident initially and then as an Assistant Lecturer of Urology, 1995
He then in 2001 assumed the post of Research /Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Urology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Canada.
In 2004, Dr. Hamdy rejoined the Minoufiya University as initially a Lecturer of Urology and became an Assistant Professor of Urology in 2010 and subsequently became Professor of Urology in March 2017.
Post 2006, Dr. Hamdy practiced as a visiting consultant in Egyptian hospitals which include the International Hospitals and the Police Hospital.
Dr. Hamdy was also the Medical Director of the Menoufia University Hospital in Egypt.
In 2008, he joined the Sheikh Zayed Specialized hospital in Egypt as the Head of Urology Department.
After a brief stint in Yemen in 2013, he joined a private hospital in Abu Dhabi also as a Consultant Urologist.

Graduation (MBBCh) from the Minoufiya University , Egypt in 1993.
Masters in Urology (MSc) in 1998 and his MD in Urology in 2004 from Minoufiya University , Egypt in 1993.
Dr. Hamdy was awarded Fellowships from the Toronto General Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada respectively. He has also acquired a diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the Strasbourg University in France, 2015.
