PATIENT INTRODUCTION AND MEDICAL CONDITION

31-year-old Mrs. Iseoluwa Ejide Obagade, from Nigeria, was not able to conceive and she was also experiencing heaviness in the abdomen and had digestion problems. She was planned to undergo IVF, however, during the test, she was found to have a fibroid.

TREATMENT DECISION

Mrs. Iseoluwa emailed to MediGence to know about the cost of IVF treatment. The Patient Medicare team of Medigence swiftly responded to Mrs. Iseoluwa with several treatment options available at different hospitals all over the world along with costs. The best option, chosen by Mrs. Iseoluwa was BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi that has been at the forefront of fertility care providing world-class care with greater clinical outcomes. All the reports were shared beforehand. Mrs Iseoluwa arrived on 26th February and all the tests were repeated. The test results showed that the fibroid size had become too large, which may hamper IVF success. Dr. Aanchal Agarwal, one of the best fertility doctor at BLK Hospital explained to the patient that it is important to remove the fibroid first and do diagnostic hysteroscopy as well in parallel and afterward, IVF can be planned. Mrs. Iseoluwa agrees to it and surgery was planned for 12th March.

During the surgery, it was observed that her intestine was all jumbled up, making it difficult for the doctor to reach the fibroid in order to remove it. Therefore, during the surgery, a GI surgeon was also involved to rectify the arrangement of the intestine so that the fibroid can be removed. The mishandling was attributed to the previous myomectomy surgery that Mrs. Iseoluwa apparently had back in Nigeria. However, the fibroid was never removed. The mishandled intestine was also contributing to digestion issues. The surgery was successfully done. After two days of observation, Mrs. Iseoluwa was discharged on 14th March.

CONDITION AFTER DISCHARGE

Mrs. Iseoluwa is currently recovering and will return for IVF after a couple of months. We, at MediGence, thanks to the expert surgeons and para-medical staff for performing this surgery with remarkable ease and wish Mrs. Iseoluwa a happy and healthy life.Fibroid-Treatment | Patient from Nigeria | Treatment in India | MediGence
